They are fun for every day use, Valentines Day, and would also add a vintage feel to your next event by creating a "candy shop theme" for a kids birthday party, wedding, shower. Serve drinks (such as homemade sodas) with a red and white striped paper straw. Decorate with a turquoise and pink color scheme (these have a candy shop feel and coordinate well with red). Display various candies in glass candy jars, provide glassine bags or striped paper bags to your guests to fill with goodies, and supply red and white striped bakers twine for tying up the bags.
Not only are paper straws fun, but they are biodegradable and compostable!
Very cute! Whenever I see paper straws I always think of this Amish restaurant, in Ohio, my family used to visit when I was a kid. Good memories.
