The upstairs rooms are currently being prepped for painting and I've waited until the last minute to pick the perfect shade of white.
BUT, TODAY IS DECISION DAY!
My mom has just done her living room in Sherwin William's Snowbound. So, she provided me a sample of it as well as Benjamin Moore Decorator's White, which one of my sisters painted her home in. Two choices is enough for me so I did not look any further for white options! I painted both on large pieces of sheetrock and moved them around the house. Truth be told, I almost could not tell the difference between the two! In certain rooms one would look brighter than the other. And, in other room, or at other times of day, the other would like brighter than the first. Same goes for whether each felt like they had cool or warm undertones.
AND, THE DILEMMA WENT ON AND ON.
I did a little research and both seem to be top white choices for both designers and homeowners. So, I felt either would be a good decision. When I saw Snowbound in my parents house, I immediately said it had a grey undertone, which I wanted over an off-white undertone. Many of the blogs I read said the same. I ended up deciding on Snowbound.
THE BEST DESCRIPTION I READ FOR IT WAS "MILKY WHITE," WHICH I THINK SUMS IT UP PERFECTLY!
Below are some examples of it painted in real homes, which helped me make my decision.
