When traveling, walking the aisles of local grocery stores can be so inspiring!
In Paris, stop in at both smaller corner stores and larger grocers like La Grande Epicerie, which was conceived over 100 years ago in the basement of Le Bon Marche (a wonderful department store you should also explore).
Take a look at the exquisite packaging - everything appears to have been chosen not only for its taste, but also for its aesthetics! The fruits and vegetables also vary from country and region. So, unique varieties not seen in your locale are fun to see in person. Don’t forget to take a peek at the eggs and butter!
We loved browsing so much, that we sought out the second location in the 16th arrondissement! Most people probably wouldn’t seek out the 16th on a trip to Paris as it has a more neighborhood vibe. But, we found it well worth the short walk from where we were by the Eiffel Tower. And, there were cute shops and residential buildings around, which added to the excursion.
