 I was giddy opening up a long-awaited shipment from Bell Mountain Naturals recently.

TOM'S PREBIOTIC HAND SOAP

  I've used Tom's of Maine toothpaste for years - it has the same texture, suds, and minty flavor as any toothpaste I had used prior, unlike some other natural brands.  So, I was intrigued on a recent shopping trip to see prebiotic hand soap from Tom's. 

According to Tom's, "Not all bacteria are bad for you.  In fact, killing all bacteria may do more harm than good."  This may be hard to hear in the current climate, but something most have us have known for years.  They work similar to probiotics, which promote a healthy gut (such as when eating yogurt).  I picked up both the peppermint and blood orange and were pleasantly surprised by both.  

The scent is present, but not overpowering.  And, like many reviewers noted, it does not suds up as much as other hand soaps.  But, it still felt like it was cleaning.  And, with less suds, did not take as long to rinse off.  I would definitely purchase again, and am excited to see Tom's also makes other prebiotic products like body  soap and body wash as well as deodorant and toothpaste.  They all have "the prebiotic ingredient inulin" which "helps promote the growth of good bacteria."  And, have no sulphates, parabens, artificial fragrances, preservatives, foaming agents, or animal ingredients.
